Lillie Morrisson stars as
Catwoman/Selina  Kyle. Lillie is a Bay
Area theatre actress who has been in the

Imprisonment of Anne Boleyn, Rose's

others.
Cliff Poche stars as The Joker. Cliff has
been in several feature and short films
such as: The She Devils, Edison City, and
Crimson. He has also appeared on stage at
Alameda's Altarena Playhouse
We used a DVX100 camera. It was edited on Final Cut Pro HD.

Sharon’s BATGIRL costume was a replica of Alicia Silverstone’s outfit in “Batman & Robin”. Lillie’s
CATWOMAN costume consisted of a “biker momma” leather top and pants. We had the cat ears and tail
but nixed the idea as too cheesy. Cliff’s JOKER make-up was done by my childhood pal
Rick Servande. We
had three prosthetics to choose from. I had purchased a full prosthetic mask from a company called
Scream
Team but Cliff didn’t want to use it. He had purchased a prosthetic with the facial scarring similar to what
Heath Ledger had in the DARK KNIGHT. So we used that.

The first half of the film is a mixture of a script I had from Daniel J.W. Hughes and my own writing. The
second half of the story when the Joker stalks Batgirl is a loose interpretation of the “Killing Joke” comic. The
story is simple; Catwoman and the Joker come to kill Batgirl.

One of my primary goals in making this short was to gain experience on how  to choreograph a fight.
Because of time constraints on my last feature (Crimson) I really wasn’t able to fully exploit fight scenes. As
some of you know, I was a boxer in the late 80s and recently had some very brief training in the art of
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I also watched some films with realistic fight scenes such as John Cusack’s “Gross Pointe
Blank.”

What I came up with was a hodgepodge of the mixed martial art moves and fight scenes from films. It was
fun to shoot and a good primer for my next feature which will have a lot of cat fights :)
